Particles moving at random, what pressure is, why a hotter gas in a sealed container has a higher pressure, and the kelvin scale.
Pressure from collisions
The particles in a gas move constantly in random directions at a range of speeds.
Each time one hits a wall it exerts a small force. Pressure is the total force of all these collisions on each unit of area.
The temperature of a gas is linked to the average kinetic energy of its particles: hotter means faster on average.
