A piano extract has the right hand on the upper stave and the left hand on the lower. Name each left-hand chord I, IV or V from its notes.

Two hands, two staves

The left hand plays the chords

In a piano extract the right hand plays the upper stave, in the treble clef, and the left hand the lower stave, in the bass clef. At Grade 4 the left hand often plays chords in root position.

Quick check

Which stave does the left hand play?
