Write any Grade 5 scale with no key signature, going up or coming down: letters, then the key signature's notes, then any raised notes for a minor key.
Worked example: F sharp major, going up
- Letters: F to F, in semibreves, one on each line and space.
- Key signature notes: six sharps, every one written, including E sharp.
- In a minor key, add the raised notes last.
Quick check
Writing F sharp major with no key signature, which note needs E sharp, not F?
